How We Work
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is a key part of Engineering in a changing world. Blackwell Structural Consultants design to the latest Eurocodes and standards, using the latest design software to stay at the forefront of Engineering practice.
Our Engineers regularly attend courses to update their skills or learn about products new to the market and we invite experts from related fields to present at our offices. Blackwell Structural Consultants believes strongly in investing in their staff and has sponsored team members through degree courses to gain the accreditation needed to practice, whilst simultaneously offering in‑house training and on‑the‑job experience.

Neil Blackwell, Director
The company’s founder and Principal Engineer, Neil is a Chartered member of the Institute of Structural Engineers (IstructE) and of the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE). Neil has run his own Structural Engineering Practice for over 35 years.
Ben Blackwell, Director
Senior Engineer, Ben, has an MSc in Physics from the University of Manchester and has been working as a Structural Engineer since 2012.
